Freedom Foundation Nigeria marked the 2025/2026 Genesis House Graduation by equipping all seven graduates with tailored business starter kits worth over ₦2.1 million, empowering them to build sustainable livelihoods after rehabilitation.
Each graduate received tools aligned with her vocational training in fashion design, hairdressing, baking and catering, make-up, or event décor, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to long-term reintegration and economic independence.
“Recovery does not end with certificates; it continues with the ability to stand on one’s own feet,” said Chidi Koldsweat, Executive Director, Freedom Foundation.
Reflecting on the graduates’ journey, Mrs. Toyin Bakare, Chairperson of Genesis House, said, “I’ve watched women who came to us with nothing, but today we are seeing transformation.”
Genesis House is Freedom Foundation Nigeria’s residential rehabilitation and reintegration programme, helping vulnerable young women rebuild their lives through healing, skills development, and empowerment.
